porcupine quill bracelet
This bracelet is cast from the quill of a North American Porcupine that hugs the side of the wrist. The quill has enough flexibility to bend to a perfect fit.
NATURAL HISTORY
Erethizon dorsatumThe most common North American porcupine, subspecies E. d. dorsatum, is found across the northern United States and much of Canada. Porcupines are shy and solitary and most active at night. They can live to be 30 years old. Porcupines are excellent climbers and eat a diet of plant matter like leaves, roots, berries, and bark.
Branches stripped of bark and chewed hemlock twigs strewn on snow are signs of a porcupine's presence.
